Ok, so I installed the drivers and everything, and now when I turn my computer on, the boot screens have red lines going up and down the screen. When I get into windows, it's fine, but up until I get to the login screen I have this strange occurance. Also, it only started happening AFTER I installed the drivers, which is strange because the drivers aren't even loaded when the computer is still posting...

So its fine when playing games en such?

I wouldn't worry about it then, try the 8.8 beta drivers if it rly bothers you...

doesn't sound like a driver issue, it sounds like bad video ram and corruption, but usually it gets WORSE when you get into windows when it needs to bump up the resolution and use the memory etc, kind of backwards from what youd normally see lol

actually, it did happen in windows when I didn't set my resolution up to 1900x1200. When I did that, the lines went away. And also, another weird thing, the lines only show up against a black background. IE, my wallpaper didn't have any lines in it, but the black around the wallpaper did. This was all AFTER i installed the drivers and BEFORE I set my resolution up to 1900x1200.

I just played crysis for ~15 mins and everything seemed fine.

Maybe the X2 fan isn't starting up during POST/boot up which may cause overheating....

idle is about 73, load is about 84-85

this is at 50% gpu usage, can't get it to go higher lol

well two instances of WoW got it to 89c, 98% load, but I don't see anything in terms of distortion or artifacting..
