Well i just got a new mobo and proc i got a xp2500 barton 333 and a abit nf7s v2 and am using corsair twinx xms 2700 ddr. For the past 2 day i have tried to install windows 2k pro about 20 times or more and it keeps having errors saying it cant read a file i tried several disks and several cdroms with no luck so finally i lower the fsb to 133 and it seems to be working fine. My question is why is this happening if every thing i have is rated for 166 fsb am i missing something?

I had a similar problem while installing XP pro into my new system. Turned out one of my sticks of RAM was bad. Removing the bad stick made everything install just fine. After I got it to install fine I tried putting the other stick back in and XP would get random errors. These were Corsair VS DDR 3200 dual channel kit and I ended up RMAing it and am now waiting for the replacements.

After you got it to install did you try changing the FSB back?

im slowly bumpin it up im up to 150 mhz now but is there any thing i can use to torture test it to make sure its working corectly?

ok it works fine at 160 and at 166 it freaks i tried with only 1 stick in and it flops with both so i guess thier both bad. thank god for lifetime warrenty!
