I purchased (through paypal) an iphone 16gb from Michael100 on 04-18-08 and I gave two weeks including emails, pms but no response to him. Then to my concern, I see a post below:

I just want to know if my phone is sent out and he has a couple or he is just pocketing the money and claiming to sell a phone?

If you denied that I didn't contact you Michael, then I can pull up my gmail emails saying that you received my money.
 
I was interested by this iphone 16Gb

seller said he have good feedbacks on ebay, but never replied to my message on ebay

never send pics other than on the topic

He said this iphone was new, unused.... but you can see on pics there's new icons on iphone....

he ask me if I was very interested on iphone, I said yes but waiting to send money ( waiting ebay replies) ... but on thread he said still available..

I ask for phone number and address, but never give this information....

I just receive his paypal address to send money LOL

I would file with paypal NOW.......your not getting a phone and your probably not getting your money back.
Use his personal info that I know you got from him, to pursue this through the legal system.
Start by calling his house, and if that fails, call the police in his local town.

Whats the guys heatware name? he is pretty new here, so I assume he has great heat for someone to send money to him.

He has no Heat that I can find. I saw in one of the threads he stated he has no heat as well.
 
I had a WTB thread looking for an iPhone...Guess who was the first one to respond in PMs? That's right, Michael100. Said he had a 16GB iPhone for a great price. Found out he didn't have any heat and had some small positive e-bay feedback (none of it was him being the seller btw). Also noticed that he had JUST created a [H]ardForum account (I believe when I was talking to him, he had only been a member for 3 days). I thought this all very odd and when I asked him if he'd ship first, he refused. I didn't feel right about the situation so decided not to buy from him.

Within a few hours, he had a new 16GB iPhone FS thread posted and then soon after, the thread was closed with him claiming it was sold.

Finally this past week, I saw he had another FS thread with a 16GB iPhone.

This dude is shaaaaaady. Stay away at all costs. OP, I hope you figure things out. Let us know!
 
Did you get a confirmed phone number to try to call him?

I've sent a PM inviting him to respond.
 
If you got his phone number call him. I have had kids (or adults acting like kids) trying to scam me before and sometimes a phone call can straighten things out. Especially if it is a kid and you have his family's phone telling a parent about their son's online exploits can be beneficial. : )

Suggested to pay the full amount to his bank account.
Since my Paypal is closed because of the claim.
Buyer won't give his bank account number over the internet.
Buyer asks for money order.
I'm not is the US a.t.m. so a money order won't work.

Any disadvantages about a return by bank account?
Anyone has a solution?
 
your paypal would be open by paying what you owe because of the claim. I wouldnt give you my bank account number either LOL

Either way I won't give a bank account, especially on how this transaction has been going through. Find a way to pay the price is all I ask.

Cahiers checks are new to me.

whats so hard to understand about if i give you my bank account and routing number you can remove money just as easily as adding it. Now answer how you cant unlock your paypal just by adding the funds to paypal? Paypal will always allow you to pay off a negative balance. I smell a scam going on here.
 
Western Union is very risky.
But I would consider.

Money order / Cahiers checks are unavailble here...

timberwark was the first to send money, and to weeks after, you put a new thread to sell the same iphone ????

I live in Europe, and use paypal, if you paypal account is locked, you can send money to this guy and few days after you can use your account...

Or you can send money by western union, google checkout, bidpay......

I don't understand why you don't say to this guy iphone is already sold... and 2 weeks after, you sell the same iphone?

PS: I'm still waiting reply from your ebay acount ....:confused: (maybe it's not yours ....)

I'm here to help this guy, otherwise I would ignore the claim and he wouldn't get a penny.
I even reply in this thread to get everything very clear.

you doubt its true? Are you speaking out of complete ignorance or have you bothered to ask your local bank? If youre open to any solution I have given you one. Paypal when they lock your account still give you the option of adding funds to pay off negative balances, though at this point im betting you have alot more negative balances than just this one person's. As for saying someone else posted them threads, this makes it clear to me you are full of crap and I do not expect to see any more of your threads open in the FS/FT section or I will close them until everything you owe is paid off.

If it's as easy as you say to remove money out of some else his bank account, nobody would use banks.. This made me LOL.

You might read again I said I would consider, I'm not a paypal pro, besides there are some more problems, because I'm the one who's scamed. (not by this guy ofcourse)

Traveler's Checks, accepted all over the world, available at darn near every bank world wide.

This type of crap pisses me off, 100 is obviously a scammer, I'm sure he uses e-bay this way as well ( I'll have to investigate :p )

I am done with this guy, as I been more than forgiving in asking different methods to send payment through this 'unfortunate' issue. He is still stuck on asking for my bank account in which I do not want to give. He still says he is overseas with no options to send money. He can't add a bank account because paypal will send a letter to his home address in the us and he is not in the us. Sounds like lies to me.:(
