problem with messenger

i have a problem with most of the messengers like hotmail, yahoo, digichat etc
i cant open..it says that is a problem with the internet connection, ( 0x81000301)
but i think its ok
also i cant register in many websites , allways display the "web page not available"
any idea or suggestion would be appreciable

Firewalls are blocking stuff, so sometimes if I trust the site, I just disable the firewall for that period, and enable afterwards again.....I rather do this than making it a trusted site for a long period and forget about it.. :eek:
 
It definitely sounds like a firewall or security settings are blocking certain interactions with your computer.
