Problem with Laser Mices

HI

I'm using my mice on the couch so time to time the mice fall of the couch my "Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical" is now 10 years old and has no problem.
But in this 10 years have bought 2 Laser mices and they all broke.
The first laser mice i bought back in 2007 and this one broke completely after 2 months and this yeahr i bought a "Logitech M500" and now after 4 months i can't even draw a normal circle with it anymore it's like having an elliptice computer mice.

Are this Laser mice so sensitive if they fall 50cm?

Have you tried cleaning them?

Laser mice like to be perfectly clean, even a hair or lint in the laser eye can cause disruptions

Cleaning was the first thing i tried. I will send the "Logitech M500" back to Amazon and get a "Logitech G400" in my option this Laser mice do not like to fall to the ground.

The high precision optical mice are nice. I think that is what the G400 has. I use a laser mouse at work and I can't justify the added cost for a laser mouse.
