Reformated and installed a new os , xp pro. Everything works great but my khypermedia 52x24x52 doesnt show up, but power is definetly being supplied to it, i can open and close it.

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
This shows up when I go to Add hardware and try to install it.

I've installed all the xp pro updates, like the khypermedia site said to..out of ideas now.

You may have to remove it from your IDE cable and reboot to have the system detect the drive again or possibly use the install disk that came with the drive. Every once and awhile you have to kick the OS in the butt to get a component going.

There must have been some issue between my two cd drives because I was doing what you said to do, and then decided to unplug my dvd rom as a test. Now windows recognizes the khypermedia drive and it works, of course now i dont have my other drive operating.

Check the drives to see that one of them is set to master and the other to slave...
