hello, i have this problem with my internet, i have sbc dsl, my computer is on a router thingy, its like the usb, and then that goes to a regular phone jack, well cnet bandwith tells me that i have a speed of 1008 Kbps - You 1008 kbps. Whenever i download something off the internet, the speed slowly goes lower every second what is wrong with that? a hardware issue?

Try hooking it up through the ethernet port. USB is great for interface devices but it sucks for data transfer such as networking and drives.

um, I think it does that to everybody. When I download stuff it starts like at 500 then drops to 350-400 (from a fast server anyways). Heck, when I get something at file shack (with the 100k limit) it starts at 400 the drops to 99.5 after 10 seconds or so.

I think your connection is capable of downloading at the initial speed it reports but the server impose limitations on your download speeds. If you where to download from a subscription based download service your speeds would be a lot faster.
