problem with IE

not sure if this is the right forum but i'd hope that all you webmasters know a thing or two about IE
the problem: whenever I go anywhere in IE (even google or ms update) the window just comes up all white, no content or anything. It doesnt say that there are any errors on the page or anything like that. I would just use firefox but MS update has to be done through IE. if anyone knows what might be up im very open to suggestions. It first happened when I restarted after I updated to IE6. btw I'm running win2k sp1

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but check out the microsoft site for a program called MCREPAIR.EXE. This is an update for Microsoft MoneyCentral, but seems to fix a lot of IE problems. If you don't believe me that this could help, check out http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/ They reference it somewhere on there (currently using Mozilla on Linux, don't get anything from that page here).
