problem with hsf hard disk

here my problem i have a hsf hd my bios will ot recognise it im using a lgh-ide-k to plug it into the pc any idears of how i can get my pc to see it
 
And I thought this was a purely verbal thing.

Try plugging it into a different port. If it works, then you have a bad port. Although it's IDE, and most modern motherboards only have one IDE port.

Try using a different cable.

Try plugging it into a different computer.

Try plugging a different hard drive into your computer.

You may simply have a bad hard drive. Troubleshooting why your BIOS won't recognize it is simple: It's either the port, the cable, the motherboard, or the hard drive. If it's your motherboard, I suppose you could try updating the BIOS, but that's unlikely to really help.
