Problem with hang after post, during ide dev read

My buddy got a virus, and after formatting and getting threw some of the windows install it rebooted, and now it hangs after reading the ide devices, preventing me from going into bios or it going any farther. Anyone had this problem before and know a way to fix it? Its an asus p4c800-e dlx and the hds are both wd se 80 gigs.
