When I go to www.google.com I used to be able to see on the top left of the screen several links ...Web, Images, Maps, News, Shopping, Gmail, more (which had a drop down menu)

now when I log on to site I don't see any of those links anymore. Does anyone know how to get them back?

Thanks.

flush your dns and delete your temporary internet folder and cookies.

you can also try resetting IE by going to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset.
