when i launch my games they are all un-res'd and not right and i dont know why. this is happening in bf1942 and soldat. cs seemed fine. heres a pic

thats my whole screen. info i am on 1600x1200. i bought bf1942 2 days ago and first day it played fine then i today i install desert combat and play for 15 minutes and it was fun but it was time to go golfing. i turn off my pc and then when i get back home try to play DC and the screen was like in that picture. FYI whenever i launch bf1942 or DC it looks off center like this but yestarday it switched back when i wanted to connect to a server

edit: in the screen shot i take from the DC menu it looks like the res is fine and all but its not. the game is cutting off a good 1 inch from the left and top part of the screen. also in the BF1942 the text is extremly blurry almost impossible to make out text. help would be greatly appricated and maybe a small paypal payoff :)

this is also a bit odd. i am running a 5900 128 at 5950 ultra bios and heres a screenshot

maybe try reinstalling the drivers again. Im not really sure if its the card or not since its not doing it in every game. Also that Merc is awesome!!

wait... it posted 2 pictues and i only took one and the IQ is differnt.... do you think its duel monitoring?

1. You might want to edit your last post.
2. The menu in Battlefield is always like that. It seems to run at 800x600. Mine does the same thing and I run at 1024x768.
3. As for the blurry text, it's usually Anti-Aliasing that makes it blurry. Turn it off and see if it helps.

yes i know the coincidences of my last post but it was only way to get a post  and it worked with getting a post  ill try this in a little thanks

Not a resolution question but in those screenshots it says PCI x0 where it should read AGP x8 do you have the gart or via equivelent installed correct?

I had that problem but all it did was kill my performance.
