Hey, I put this in the ATI section cause I have a problem Catalyst Control Center and driver cleaner. I recently bought a new X1950PRO and used driver cleaner to wipe clean all my old drivers, etc. It was my mistake to run it in regular windows and not safe mode becuasse after reboot I saw that all my old ATi software was removed except CCC. Here's a screenie of what the program listing looks like

Note the icon is not ATi but AVG Virus, and better yet I cant remove it at all??
Also this is what I get when I try and open up CCC

Anyone have any ideas, how can I get rid of this and be able to run the CCC software? Seems a file was redirected or renamed in the cleaning process?

You have, I presume, tried reinstalling the drivers?. All that seems to have happened is DC has removed the CLI.exe file.

Did you uninstall the drivers normally before you ran drivercleaner? Because that's what you're supposed to do. DriverCleaner is there to remove things that the driver package does not properly dispose of.

mmm, no I did not. That would be my other mistake then. I guess there is no way to fix this huh, CCC wont work on my PC now and I have since removed it(or what I could remove):(

Why don't you just remove the files manually as well as the registry entries pertaining to 'CCC' or 'ati' etc. Then run DC again in safe mode (under Administrator).
