I found the cure!! It's all based in advanced timing options using power strip

Get it here:

http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/ps.shtm

once you get it go to display profiles, then advance timing options and change horizontal frequancy to 60.009 hz and The scan lines go away!

are there problems to be expected with this method?

color problems or sharpness problems?

nope. just don't change anything else but that. it's really simple. I did it too.

also if you don't want to use powerstrip and have Nvidia card go to your nvida CP,screen res, and advanced refresh rates and change it thier.

The 60.009 hz thing didnt fix it on mine  Neither did dropping it to 59 hz.. Anything else?

you probably did it wrong or did not apply the settings . ;) If not keep trying the 60 hz refresh rate just keep and making it higher by 0.15 or so until they are gone.

To fix that horizontal lines scan problem, you have to change the "pixel clock" parameter in advanced display options.

Change up or down 2 or 3 times seleccting a different pixel clock and you will see how the lines disappear!!

hmmm, well I did not have to do that. I only changed the vertical geometry or horiz as they both change at the same time, but whatever works. :D

are u guys talking about scan lines that appear when viewing a DVD? or where are these scan lines coming from?

Im guessing you did not bother using any of the programs?

Keep guessing

Last time my monitor went black whenever I changed anything in powerstrip, now it worked. Strange.
