Hello, the reason i posted this question in the video cards section will be given light to near the end of the post.
So, yesterday my computer restarted automatically, and it would only let me log onto a temporary account. so, i did a system restore and went back to earlier in the day before. then, for the rest of that night it worked fine, untill around 1:40 A.M. when i woke up and my computer was frozen. I restarted it, and it worked fine again. Then, when i woke up today around 10 a.m. it had frozen again, and when i restarted this time, the computer had bluescreened with the "Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal" error. When i tried to restart next time, it would go up to the "Starting Windows" screen and then would restart. I tried to repair it from the windows disk (startup repair didnt work, all the system restore points didnt work). also, i tried starting up with safe mode, but that just made the computer restart aswell. I am all out of ideas, the only other thing i can think of is that its a bad Video Card. the reason why i thought that was because a few of the times that i restarted, there was some tearing in the picture. Please, if you have an suggestions, please give them. Thank you.
EDIT: forgot to post my specs.
-Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
-Core 2 Quad Q9550
-GTX 260
-Corsair 650
