Problem with Chrome in Linux Mint 18

Hi, all. I have a strange problem here. When I quit, or minimize Chrome it just disappears. But it's still running, with no way to tell what's going on, except looking at processes. Before I caught the problem my computer was running slower, and slower, because I was starting a new instance of Chrome. Also, Chrome isn't remembering any passwords. I have reinstalled Chrome, of course.

Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon
Chrome 64 bit.

Any ideas? (Other than switch to FF, Lol.)
