Problem with AVG updater

I decided to try the free version on both my PC's at home. The one I use for downloading works fine and I get updates. The PC I use for gaming won't update at all though. I don't have any 3rd party firewall, and the Window's XP one is disabled. I can download the software fine from the gaming PC, but it still says it can't connect.

I read through the FAQ on the AVG site, but nothing seems to help. Does this sound like a port-forwarding issue, or do I need to change some of my connection settings?

If you don't have any firewalls, it's not a port forwarding issue. I would double check within AVG and see how you are connecting to download the updates. You might not have the download from internet option installed? If that's not it, what error is it specifically telling you?
