Well, i just reinstalled windows and everything since my PC had been running slow as of late. Well anyways everytihng went well. Except for one thing..... When i installed the ATI Catalyst driver in the Smart Gart tab it says AGP is off, rather then 8x as it should be. When i manually change it it has to retest it and restart. Well it does and it stays at 8x. I tried it with different versions of the catalysts and it all is the same.... anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

what do u mean?? my mobo drivers?? if so then no, i have not installed any drivers off of my mobo cd. There are agp drivers for my motherboard i need to install??

Yes. There are drivers called "chipset drivers" that would be on your motherboard CD. You need to install them. If you don't have the CD or something, they are usually on the website of your motherboard manufacturer.

yup, worked like a charm. Can't beleive i did not do it, cause after my last install it was the first thing i did, Guess i was just spacing.... thanks for the help

Glad to hear it. Installing chipset drivers is the first thing I always do!
