Hello [H],

I seem to have a little problem with my ASUS A8N-SLI Premium.

It's been stored away for a few weeks, since I took the PSU for my new rig. But today I bought a new Enermax Pro 82+.

I plugged everything in, and attempted to boot it up. Seemed to run fine at first. Green light is on, Fans started spinning. About 3 seconds after that, everything shut off, only the light remains green. The system will no longer boot, yet alone post. There's no reaction what so ever. I am unsure what the cause could be. Anyone know what might be causing this? Did the mobo die on me?

Thanks in advance
Mike

Turn off power supply, reset CMOS, Reseat processor and heatsink cause this sounds like an overheat auto shutdown. Try the usual stuff of disconnecting everthing except one stick of ram. One vid card, well seated etc.

Thanks man!

That did the trick :D Shes up and running now.

I'm guessing that when I tried to clamp on the HS (which took about 10 minutes) I must have messed up the thermal compound.

Thanks again :)
