problem with ageia bfg physx

it seems when i install nvidia physx drivers on a fresh system install it will not see my phsyx card at all, and just use the physx on my 9800

but if i install ageias drivers for the card first, then nvidias drivers 2nd it will pick it up fine.

any ideas? am i doing it wrong? LOL

also im moving to 64bit xp, is the phsyx supported on 64? and will it be supported on vista as well? 64bit or otherwise

They have since bundled physx drivers with their geforce drivers (so that physx runs on your geforce by default), but I believe that if you have a regular PPU you still have to install those drivers seperate. That will give you a link in your start menu where you can select between Geforce PhysX, Ageia PhysX, or No acceleration.
 
If you're running the newest Nvidia drivers and have an Nvidia video card you need to uncheck the PhysX option in the Display Drivers (yeah they added a tew tab there for some reason), then go back in the PhysX control panel and select the PhysX card if it's not already chosen.
 
thanks guys, thats what i figured out, the full driver, then an update one

and yea because im on x64 i couldnt find the control panel applet, until i saw the x32 icons and found it

i got it all going now. just had an interesting time getting it working. the drivers off the physx cd dont support 64bit. i found the package from guru3d and all is well :)
