Problem with a wirless connection

Here is the problem:

I am running a wireless router and wireless usb adapter. The connection between the two says its excellent. Upon installation the interent ran fine. Now when i try to connect it doesnt work and comes up with the messsage that it is trying to find a server. I have another computer that is connect to the router itself and it is running fine its just the one with the adapter.

Its a linksys wireless-b and wireless-g

First off, try renewing your IP by right-clicking the interface in network connections and choosing "repair". If you can renew your IP, test the connection. If the connection fails, the problem lies in the router. If you cannot renew the IP, you need to confirm your WEP settings (I hope you're using WEP, if not just ask and you will be helped). You also want to make sure that you're using the latest drivers, and there is no MAC filtering on in the router configuration.
