problem with 9800 pro! please help

I just bought a used 9800 pro from the amazon market place. I installed some older omega drivers (2.6.12), and it the card comes up everywhere as a 9800 pro, but the core and memory speeds match a vanilla 9800. What would cause that? Should I just move them to the normal pro speeds? Thanks
