Problem with 4-in-1's

I have a problem with my computer that is getting really annoying......if I install ANY version of the VIA 4-in-1 drivers (a.k.a. Hyperion drivers), including the ones on my mobo driver disc, anything that uses direct3d will stop working, and when I run dxdiag, it will fail on the direct3d 7, 8, & 9 tests.

I have tried it on both DX8.1 and DX9, with several versions of the nVidia drivers (currently 53.03), and it still won't work if the 4-in-1's are installed.

This is on the system in my sig, does anyone have any ideas how I can have DX9, 53.03, and the latest Hyperion drivers all play well together?
 
Did you try a fresh install?


You could try an older Nvidia driver set, Because to me it sounds like a problem with the card drivers, Since it worked before.
 
yes, i reformatted/reinstalled, and it's fine with both DX9 and 53.03 installed together, but as soon as i install any version of 4-in-1's, it screws up
