When watching movies and playing games, I get this break in the image at the bottom of the screen. It always happens in the same area and im not sure what causes it.

The break happens most of the time when the camera is moving. It makes the bottom portion of the screen looked delayed.

I edited a picture to show what the problem would look like.

It doesnt happen like all the time but enough to piss you off during a movie.

BTW - I have already tried replacing the LCD and the same problem continues sooo..its either on my side or a problem with the model..

TV specs on samsung site

a bit more info.

I have a ps2 and its happened on multiple games including tekken 5 and prince of persia: two thrones. Im using component cables for the ps2, not monster cables just some cheapy I found on ebay.

I also have a Magnavox DVD player (Progressive Scan) that im using some component cables with (also non Monster cables bought from ebay)

Im plugging the LCD directly to the wall and the rest of my stuff onto a cheap power strip from radio shack.

try narrowing your problems down so you can eliminate the areas that are not the problem. ie, try replacing the cables so you know its not the cables that are causing the problem.

...did you try calling Samsung and asking there wtf is going on with my t.v?
If after that they still dont want to help you return it get your cash and get a Sony T.V can't go wrong with them.

Chek your caples thats the only thing I can think of or try plugging your tv in a different room or different house see if the probleme is coming from your house or from the t.v ...
like the post on top narrow it down to what the probleme is.

good luck

ive replaced the ps2 component cables cause I have two cables..same problem.. hmm im pretty sure its not the component cables for either ps2 or the dvd player..

When I had the LCD powered thru the radio shack power strip the problem would show up a lot. When I plugged the power cord directly to the wall, it happened a lot less. Dramatic difference... but still happens. Do I NEED a surge protector? This problem never happened with my 27" samsung CRT HDTV. Im using all the same equipment... just a different TV.

I havent tried calling samsung..this guy at bestbuy said that im having a "pixelization blur" problem or something.. I was like yeah whatever I just want something perfect for this much money. I really cant think of anything on my side.. Im gonna return the LCD later today.

Its very likely this is an problem with the display not the cables or power. What you're describing sounds similar to a V-sync or tearing issue that you'd have with a PC.

Its possible that the internal image processing gets somewhat out of sync every so often and switches the image mid-refresh to catch up.

In any case the only solution is to exchange it for another display, either the same model hoping its just a one off problem or to a different TV entirely.

So I just got back from trying to get a refund from bestbuy. They couldnt get the problem im having to reproduce so they said if I wanted a refund thats a %15 restocking fee. ouch.

Its not like the problem happens a lot, id say around 90% of the time the picture looks amazing. that 10% of the time where the image breaks randomly just throws me off.

I tried explaining everything to them but .. they just werent havin it. I felt like they didnt believe me that it happened at all.

That looks like tearing, when Vsync is not on. Have you tried playing around with the settings with the TV? Looks amazing by the way.

So my neighbor hooked me up with a sweet Sony DVD player check it out

I bought an HDMI cable and ive been watching some movies.. and so far the problem hasnt shown up. Everything looks amazingly good.

I dont know if any of you [H] guys own this LCD but its truely amazing when no problems are happening.

I dont think anyone has made a thread showing this LCD off.. ill get some pictures up.

got a 24in lcd, less than 3 months, had some weird color issues, called samsung, spent less than 3 min on the phone before the rep said to have mine replaced. because its less than 90 days they'll send me a brand new unit, didn't have it in stock, asked if i wanted money instead, so i sent them the invoice and they sent ups to pick up the monitor and will send a check to me. i went out and bought a samsung 32" hdtv instead. they are good. give them a call.
