Problem with 21inch CRT

Im having a problem with a 21inch CRT i just acquired. Its a Sony Trinitron Multisync 500PS. Its max resolution is 1600x1200 @ 85hz. However, when running it at any resolution above 800x600 it has a problem where i cant get the image to center and fill the whole screen. It seem to vary according to what hz i have it at (the higher the worse it is). However, even at 60hz i cant get the image to fill the screen on higher res'es (even 1024x768 there is a small black bar i cant get rid of on the righthand side.

It might be a bit hard to see in these pictures, but the black bar on the right is defiantely wider when running at 85hz

Ive tried every setting on the monitor, and i cant get the image centered right without that black bar there at higher resolutions, i know that a picutre can be displayed there because if i use the "zoom" feature i can make it go there, but then its too big and off the screen on all the other sides.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciate as this is a really nice monitor that id love to get working.

Come'on, im assuming this is a relatively simple problem, any one have any ideas?
