Just put together a computer for a friend and it's giving me a problem when I press the power button. Everything turns on and all of a sudden I hear BEEP, and then 9 quick beeps after that. If I keep the power on, then it'll do one more quick beep and then 2 regular beeps.

I'm using an Athlon XP 2000+
The motherboard is ECS K7S5A Pro
and the ram is Crucial 256mb pc133

I've tried clearing the CMOS but I don't think I did it right (I unplugged the power cord, took out the jumper and put it on the other 2 pins, counted to 10, then put it back on the original and powered back on).

HELP PLEASE

I think you need to pull the battery out before you set the jumpers.

Open the manual, read the beep codes, and follow the instruction.

Read the manual. The beep codes are a troubleshooting tool - they are telling you what the problem is. You need to look up the codes to figure out what's wrong.

yea, in the manual there is no troubleshooting section for the beep codes. already checked :(

any other ideas?

Have you looked online at the website for the board to see if it's online?
