Problem w/ video card

This problem just started occuring tonight while playing Counter-Strike 1.6. I will be playing and there will be small specks of light flashing on my screen. They are not very noticeable but I think it is the indication of the problem. After about 2-3 minutes of playing my monitor will flicker to a black screen just sit there. I then have to restart my computer and everything seems to be fine after that, until I try to play the game again. Then it will do the same thing. Anyone know know what the problem is? I think it has to do with my graphics card but I'm not exactly sure. I already tried updating my drivers to the latest Catalysts but the problem persists. Thanks in advance for any help.
 
Is it overclocked? try default it back to stock speed and see.
Also, check for the temp.
