Problem uploading with Bittorrent

I'm don't seem to be uploading anything, and as a result people are snubbing me! I have fowarded all the correct ports, too! Any idea on how to make it upload?

Do you have a firewall? If so, you need to change the settings to forward the port BT is using to your comp.

That's a pretty good site, but it doesn't answer everything. Anyone have any idea on how to configure Zone Alarm to play nice with BitTorrent OR knows of another software firewall that will? My brother's got a problem getting his to work. I've looked all over the place, but can't find an answer to this question.
