i just installed my amd 2400+Mobile into a Shuttle "AN35N-Ultra" with mushkin 3200 512mb RAM...

the system POSTS and i can go into BIOS and all, but when i try and load windows XP pro, it just gois into the BSOD saying to use FDISK to check for errors or viruses or something... i cant even go into safe mode and use a command prompt.

when i try booting into safe mode w/ command prompt, it loads drivers, then stops and goes back to the BSOD.

what did i do wrong? i checked all connections and made sure all power cords were plugged and theyre fine.

oh, and the mobo also has the processor as "unknown CPU @ 800ghz" sometimes when i turn it on.

ANY help with as much detail possible would be greatly appreciated. right now i'm at a PC cafe with 113 minutes left to find an answer... thanks guys!

Is there a more recent bios out for your AN35N? The motherboard isn't recognizing the Mobile processor right now, so it may have something to do with that. I had to completely reinstall windows when I tried my luck with a Mobile chip, but I also ended up buying a DFI NFII Ultra Infinity cause my SOYO KT400 Dragon Ultra Platinum didn't like not knowing what chip it was running and became incredibly unstable at any setting after any overclocking (ie 166Mhz x 12 or what not). That was just me though. I'm happy in the end with a 2400Mhz Athlon XP-M @ 1.65 V.
