This might belong in the software forum. But I'll just post it in here for now. Mods -- feel free to move it :)

I just got a new mouse/keyboard wireless combo and I'm already having problems. I popped in the CD after I opened up the package and it said it detected another form of mouse-software (my old Logitech software) and to press OK to have setup uninstall it. So I pressed OK and it couldn't find some files on my HD. It asked me to pop in the Win XP Pro SP1 CD and press OK. So I popped in my LEGIT copy of Win XP Pro and it wouldn't accept it, it said that it wasn't the right CD. So I said screw it, and I skipped the file.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I rebooted and I got a blue screen saying that:

"A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer......."

At the end of that, it tells me to run CHKDSK /F, and I booted off the CD, ran the Recovery Console, and did the CHKDSK sucessfully (no errors). I rebooted and I still get the same shit.

This is what it says under Technical Information:

***STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF7C49640, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000)

Any ideas?
