Problem mounting MN31N into case

Quick question. I'm using a silverstone case with my MN31N shuttle motherboard. The motherboard tray has raised areas like dimples that fit the board perfectly, but dont I run the risk of shorting the board if i dont use at least a washer or something? If I use standoffs the motherboard wont fit the IO plate correctly and it also causes the DVD drive to hit the memory sticks. Could I use plastic/rubber washers instead? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dog

All boards following the ATX spec use grounding post holes (tinned silver) to avoid grounding. Check around the post holes and you will notice there aren't any traces nor vital components within 1/16" around the holes. This will be perfectly fine. Just use the mounts that came with the case. No need to modify this unless you feel compelled to get some of the red ceramic washers.

The clips you are referring to are the ones with the little "L" hook at the top, correct?

Thanks for the advice. I failed to mention that the case didn't come with any hardware...can't tell if this is normal or I got a returned case or something. I've always used standoffs in the past but since it's a SFF case I didn't know if this was normal. I'll probably go with the red washers as a double check. I appreciate the help!

Our InWin L545 series cases use the same method, a small raised hump as a standoff. We've mounted directly to these over 100 times without issue.
