Hello Everyone,

Im having problems mapping my network drives in XP.

My setup.

Linksys Wireless Router - G
2 laptops - Windows XP HOME
1 laptop - Windows XP Pro

All connected wirelessly..

I need to map locations from them onto the other

as an example

\\laptop1\c_drive needs to be mapped as S:
\\laptop2\c_drive needs to be mapped as T:
\\laptop3\c_drive needs to be mapped as U:

My problem is not mapping, its when I turn on the computer they appear to be disconnected (but really arent) there is an X on them. This is because (i assume) that when the computer is turned on the wireless connection is not yet made. So it shows it as disconnected.

Im using software that was written (quite poorly) for the company along time ago and it thinks the drive is disconnect. All you have to do is click on the drive letter and then windows knows thats is connected again.

My problem is, or question is.. how do I do this automatically? So it checks for the connection after it turns on.

I've tried using a batch file that reconnect the drives at startup
ala
NET USE S: \\laptop1\c_drive /PERSISTENCE:NO

but it doesnt work because the wireless connection isnt made yet.

Any suggestions or problems would make you my god.

thanks!
