problem installing winxp on SATA hard drive.

seagate 80gig SATA hard drive.
im prity sure everything is pluged in and is working correctly. prity sure i have my hard drive jumpers on master. ok, i put in winxp home edition cd in cd rom, hit f6 when told to, instal the floppy that came with the mobo (g72-NVSA041 for nvidia ck804 & ck804-a2 SATA RAID driver version :5.10.2600.0479)
then i install windows xp, it goes threw its thing, reboot, it comes up with the actual win xp loading windows screen thing, then gets a error and says a bunch of stuff about corupted drivers or something. and does a physical memory dump. i tried booting in safe mode but i get an error with that too. if the cd isntin there, it goes to the windows screen asking for it, when the cd goes in it gets the error.
Whatsup with this? what should i do?

i posted in this forum instead of harddrive forum because it kinda has to do with harddrives and motherboards. want to try to pick somone up that has had both the neo4 and a SATA hard drive
