Here's the story: Earlier my friend attempted to reinstall windows xp pro. Everything was fine so far, and the formatting of the hd went without a hitch. But the problem was that shortly after, when it came time to actually install windows, he came upoon this error: "Installation Failed: D:\i386\asms. Error Message: The parameter is incorrect."
I've googled this error and have read quite a bit of many people's experiences, but I'm not sure exactly what is wrong here. So does anyone know the solution to this? Some say it's a bad disc and some have said that they fixed it by using another drive. What exactly is wrong here? Hoping to get some answers soon, thanks.
