problem identifiying cpu

couple days ago my cousin left me his computer becuase he was go iraq... said it had a broken motherboard. The mobo was some no name brand but the cpu was a p4 but im having trouble finding out which p4 is it ( is it ee or ht.. )

on the cpu it says

intel(m)(c)' 01
pentium(r)4 ( rest of this line is smudged so i cant read it)
3.40GHZ/512/800

any way to identify it?

All you have to do is put in "pentium 4 512 800 3.4" into google and you can figure these things out. However, I decided to be a nice guy and look it up for you. It looks to be an old school Northwood (0.13u). I imagine more experienced Intel people could tell you this by the 512k of L2 cache, but whatever. Anyway, enjoy.

Edit: I forgot to mention that it does have HT and I'm reasonably sure it's not the EE.

To find out exactly which CPU it is, look up the sSpec number printed on the heatspreader. It will start with SL7 or SL8 and have 5 characters. It's more likely a Prescott than a Northwood 3.4GHz CPU.
