My HP LP2465 monitor won't display any video when I hook my PS3 up to it. I'm using a HDMI female to a DVI male lead. The lead works on my 19" Philips monitor and my brothers 22" HP monitor.

Anyone else had this problem with the same monitor or different monitors?
 
this is quite old monitor and lacks HDCP which PS3 needs

you can use HDMI->VGA converter though I don't know if all Blu-Ray movies will work with it. There were some issues with HDFury devices. Anyway, I hook up my CRT to PS3 with such converter and games run fine

it is very very very unlikely
no monitor need dual-link dvi and especially one with 1920x1200@60Hz

it can be HDCP issue or can also be related to YUV as PlayStation3 don't output RGB but YUV and monitor must support it to display image

like I said HDMI->VGA converter is simplest way to display image from PS3 and other HDMI hardware on this monitor. It is also cheapest one. This HP is pretty decent even today :)
