Problem cooling Antec Sonata?

Ive had this case since christmas, and so far its been quiet and i love it!. Recently the stock 120mm fan died, so i called antec and they sent me a new exact same one for free . Now i have always ran my computer with the side panel on. As soon as i installed the new 120mm i put it on fan only connection, and with the side panel off it makes no noticable noise. As soon as i put the side panel on my case starts to get real loud, as if it gets too hot or the air gets compressed. My wire managment has remained the same, and as previous even with the panel on and the exact same setup it didnt make any noise. Id like to know why the hell its so noisy now, its only pretty quiet with the side panel off.
*I have also added a front 120mm fan to cool the hard drives which is whisper quiet when on the fan only connection as well.

Specs are

Antec sonata w/ 380w psu w/ 1 fan stock
A64 2800+ 754
abit nf8 passive chipset fan
leadtek 6600gt agp - Ive also had this for a while and even with the panel on it was still pretty fine.
wd 800jb ata 100

Any one have any ideas
 
You sure the fan is in the right way? Cause I put a fan on the wrong way on my Super Lanboy and my temperatures shot up and I couldn't figure out why.

Yea its in the right way, the fan pushes lots of air actually for being on fan only. I dont understand all this new ultra thermal controlled tecnology, it sucks imo. Im just trying to figure out why the exact same setup would do this.
