Can you use a laptop HDD (in this case from an iPod) in a PCMCIA slot in a laptop? Are the connections even the same? I know they sell HDDs that are made for the PCMCIA slot, but they're smallish (6 GB: made by simpletech). I was given a dead iPod, but it still does work as a FireWire 400 external HDD. I was just wanting to streamline my setup a little, and put the HDD in the PCMCIA slot. Thanks.
