printing woes.

So I've got a network printer (canon I850) being shared from a windows xp machine on my lan. All the windows pc's on the lan play nicely with it. My g3 mac running osx 10.3 however dosent seem to want to work. The printer acts as if it will print, it spools up, but thats as far as it gets. I bought this g3 for my gf to do her school work on, Its a real pain having to xfer over files to another machine to print. Any help is appreciated.

edit: its a blue/white g3 rev2 400mhz tower with 512ram. if it matters.
 
what drivers are you running on her machine? the ones from Canon or the Gimp drivers that are on the 10.3 install CDs? HERE is a good site to see if the printer is supported or not for the gimp drivers
