hello!

I am looking for a printer that offers the most easy way to refill

I know that refilling is supposed to be something easy, well that was what I thought, but after trying to refill a cheap HP and got empty pages coming out of it when trying to print, I changed my mind

any hint?

What do you mean by "easy way to refill"?

Is this part of your many-thread search for the "perfect" printer? I recall you not having much luck in that area, despite the advice you were given earlier.

no, it's not part of that opus which wasnt particularly succesful (it seems you can't have it all, neither in printers)

now, I am just in need of an 'easy to refill' printer

by 'easy to refill' I mean to refill it with bulk ink (or whatever if not inkject)

some require to poor the ink very slowly, other cartridges get easily damaged, etc, so I guess not all printer are easy to refill
 
Buying an inkjet in the first place is foolish.

Get a laser printer. You can get one with duplex and wireless networking for $100 or less these days. The toner cartridges last for 1000-3000 pages and you can buy off-brand replacements for most of them for under $20.
 
Not sure what this newegg is that you speak of,
but here is a great amazon link for a printer with wireless networking, duplex and easy refill options--all for under 99.00. If you are looking for color laser printers they tend to be a little more.

Why would anyone want s a cheap laser printer with moving parts?
This is an old tech. There are LED printers out there that have NO moving parts.
 
Go on the OKI site and read about LED versus Laser and
enlighten yourself.
What I am talking about is a new OLED tech that seems to me very promising.

I know all about LED printers. We have a handful.

My point was that even LED printers have moving parts. Lots of them. The LED itself doesn't have moving parts the way a laser has mirrors and lenses, but there are still a lot of moving parts. And in terms of moving parts, the paper feeding mechanisms are much more susceptible to failure than the enclosed portions of the laser anyway.

On top of that, the cheapest LED printers are much more expensive than the inexpensive laser printers, and toner cartridges for them are more expensive as well.

The low-end laser printers, especially the ones from Brother and HP, are really rather reliable and aftermarket toner is cheap and easy to find.

LED is a very promising technology, but for a typical home user looking for an inexpensive printer with low TCO, laser is still where it's at.
 
I realize that LED printers have moving parts. BUT the OLED part of the printer is what
I was referring to. This new Tech has no moving parts therefor I would think it is better than the
other laser tech. I would think if you are not going to get a bottom of the line laser printer
that it will be in the $200 to $300 range. I only buy multifunction printers and I think that
they run more than $100.
 
I don't know enough about LED/OLED printers to make a recommendation, but I was able to find a color multifunction laser printer for around $250. But for laser printers, it was a basic level model (no duplexing, slow print speeds) and buying all four cartridges at the same time cost almost as much as the printer itself.
 
i see toners costing 25 USD and rated at 7,500 papers and toners costing 80 USD and rated at 2,500 papers

that's why I am asking for the most cost effective to run, printer

isn't there a benchmark, database, website been occupied with that matter?

Gotta tell you. I've dealt with hundreds of laser printers over the past 12 years, and I've never seen a single one where the laser itself failed.

For someone interested in "lowest cost per page" the $80 laser printers seem to do great.
