I'm having problems installing my printers driver executable file after setting up this tweaked XP PRO SP3 off the internet. I keep getting errors similar to this.

Is there a setting to fix this error ?
Or a way to just extract the contents of the executable and just install the driver for the printer?

You're running the installer with administrator privileges right ("Run as" doesn't always work)? :p

Have you tried opening the .exe with something like 7-Zip or WinRAR (7-Zip usually works at least)?

it's something to do with the windows installer but if I try to install windows installer 3.1. It says I have a newer version in SP3 and can't do it. This isn't the first program to get this error so it has to be a SP3 specific error.

Have you tried looking in the %temp% folder while the installer is running? You might find the drivers there.
