Printer Problems e.g. not working

I have a Canon S330 Photo, and having just got back from my holiday in london I was looking forward to printing my photos. How ever, Im using the XP Photo printing thing - I set it all up etc etc then click finish. The printer icon appears in the system tray so I double click on it and there is my job wating to print. The printing freezes at 72 bytes no matter what im printing. The printer makes not move as if it is going to print, yes it is turned on and the USB cable connected. I have tried reinstalling the driver a few times but that has had no affect at all. (Sweet I have just noticed that I have mostly memorised the positions of the keys on the board and can almost type with out looking :))
