Printer not printing - cartridge?

I have a cheap Lexmark Z22 printer. As cheap as it was, I'm quite happy with it's performance. I print alot of text, and of course use alot of black ink. I've refilled it's ink cartridge about 4 times now. Now it won't print anything. It trys to print like normal, but only a blank page comes out. I'm thinking the ink cartridge is probably clogged or something. Could there be any other reason for this problem? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy another $30 ink cartridge, or a $50 printer that includes a new cartridge... :D
 
if you have refilled the same carts 4 times its probally time for some new ones as it is probally clogged or just crapped out after so much use.
