if anyone could help me i would appreciate it.

when i try and print pictures there will be black streaks or small black dots around the photo. can anyone tell me how to fix this. it doesn't do it over the whole picture and it doesn't do it everytime, but sometimes it will do little streaks of black dots on the white/color parts of pictures.

ive tried cleaning the heads, etc. with the printer software but no luck. is it something with the black ink cartridge? thanks

Try a different cartidge, or maybe the rollers have ink on them.
 
Also try:

1) Download and install the newest drivers.

2) Change interface - from USB to Parallel or Parallel to USB.
