Print Server

ok i have an older hp laserjet 1000 and it has a usb connection but the part where it connects to the printer looks like the printer plug connection which looks like this.

i tried a while back with a usb printer server thats has etheernet connection and it didnt work with this printer..and i have seen alot of usb print servers online that show that this model isnt compatible. just wondering if any here has used this printer with a printer server setting.

There used to be a HP jetdirect with that coinnection. Used it on an 1160.

The problem is most of the soho HP printers are Host Based and therfore not support on a print server.

install it on a computer and share it out.

if it doesn't work with the hp jetdirect your out of luck
