OK,

basically, i have this HP 1200 all in one Scanner, Copier, and Printer. It's USB, and i hate how it kinda lags the comp in the beginning of a startup.

Linux generally has great support for stuff (ie digital cameras). I was wondering if anybody knew of a place OR knew if linux supports this printer to the full extent; letting me scan, save the scans, copy, and print on a network.

Thanks,
Seth

did you try google?
google.com/linux
it will be much easier there, you will find a link to a howto/drivers in under a minute....

Is a good resource.

If the printer is supported, you shouldn't have much of a problem getting it set up to print on the network.

Scanning is a different project & I'm not entirely sure how you'd go about sharing a scanner, but I'd probably look at the the SANE project.

As for getting all of the features to work, you might have some problems getting your idiot buttons to work right (like the one that says "Scan this picture of my cat and email it to everyone I know") but the core functionality shouldn't be too much trouble to get going.
