I just failed a test of prime95 after a 13 hour test, it said i had one error, FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4.
I read stess.txt it recommended upping the voltage, how far up do i up the voltage safely to? What are known safe voltages?

EDIT: this was my latest overclock from 2800 to 2900 on a p4 2.6c

What are you running at now?
Well, some say 1.7, others 1.8.
Most of all I would say it depends on wheather or not you can afford to replace it !
If you can, max it - if you can't, keep it safe (~1.7)
Also the difference that you will see in 100mhz is next to nothing.
I lost a 3.06 that was running at 1.8 BUT I am not sure it was the voltage that killed it.
I guess it depends a lot on your cooling, how far you want to push it.

i dont want to ruin anything of mine, this stuff has gotta last a year or two im broke, my voltage is at 1.49 rite now

after you pass ~1.7 you are in snds territory, so avoid voltages higher than that if at all possible.

Anything 1.7 or lower should be fine.
set it up around 1.65 and see how high she wiill go.
A 2.6 should do 3 at a reasonable voltage.
Remember to ballance the return vs the risk
Like if your running 3.2 @1.75 volts, but it runs 3 @ 1.6 AOK, your better off at 3
Almost no difference in preformance, and it will last longer and be more stable.

thanks bobo, i will up the fsb tonite to 225 and up the voltage to 1.6 and see how well it will turn out
