I've been using Prime95 to test my stability for a while now. I just reformatted and am now running the latest version of it. Do you run the 'blended test' ? I run two copies (second with -a1 on shortcut) to test the HT on my cpu. Under the latest version I notice that 1.82 gigs of the page file is being used - working my array pretty hard. Second I notice that CPU usage is at 7-9% only though. What method should I use to ensure maximum stabilty testing? And I DO believe in Prime95, its working with known good answers, and if my computer isn't stable for 48 hours I don't want the clock.

I find the torture test to be plenty reliable. Other tests simply don't calculate enough.. i mean i run the torture test, i get errors at 4ghz within an hour but if i run the other blend tests, i get none after 3 days. So yeah, the torture test is the way to go if you want to find out how good your computer really is
