prime95 question

my specs:

e6850 with a scythe infinity cooler
abit ip35 pro
2 x 1gb crucial ballistix ddr2 800 (4-4-4-12 @ 2.2v)
evga 8800gt ssc
610 watt pc power and cooling psu

currently i have it at 9x400 = 3.6ghz
cpu voltage 1.4v
ddr voltage 2.2v
temps 22C idle, 42-48C load

i start up prime95 25.5
get 2 threads going...
worker thread 1 goes without any problems 4+ hours so far
worker thread 2 goes anywhere from 6minutes to 60minutes, then halts with an error.

if thread 1 continues fine for 6+ hours, is the overclock stable? or do both threads have to
go the 6+ hours together?

i originally had it at default voltage (1.35v) but both threads crashed within ~10 minutes.
i moved the voltages up until i hit 1.4v and worker thread 1 hasn't crashed yet.

also should i be disabling speed step and the c1e thing? i have them both off.

I believe if you have an error in one of your threads, it is unstable.

Sounds like one core is weaker than the other - not an uncommon occurence. Usually a touch more Vcore will fix the problem, but I don't know how much above 1.4 you want to go.

i'm @ 6 hours now, both threads running still, no crashes or faults.
voltage is at 1.41
