I have an older version of this and was just wondering, do the newer versions support the dual core cpu's or do you still have to run 2 instances of it to test both cpus?

1. download the lastest prime95 version from their site

2. install it

3. make a shortcut to the exe on your desktop (or wherever)

4. copy the shortcut (so there are now two)

5. edit the second shortcut exe path by adding -a1 after the command line

6. click both shortcuts, this will open two instances of prime

7. set affinity 0 to the first instance

8. set affinity 1 to the second instance

9. rock and roll

10. have a good day (in summary just add -a1 extension to run a second instance on hyperthreading or dual core cpus).

I just extract it to two separate folders, and run each .exe, then set the affinity as described above. Commands lines make my head hurt.
